Here the beds come ready or not. I put cardboard underneath to block the lawn and put soil mix in the boxes,

in 2010 it was a breeze to double dig them.

This area was a place I hated to mow. So instead it is my personal garden space for sharing with neighbors and giving to the Gleaners.

My friend and I added beds along my fence I am working to get the area to be a lawn free area. I grew tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, melons, raspberries, strawberries, lettuce. The yields were pretty good for first year beds.

I am still working on getting the bark chips down so I don't have to weed whack as often. I may just put strawberries in the spaces in between. I have some in between 2 beds right now.
